Long Lake is a crescent-shaped lava lake, located in southeast of Shilin County. It is about 3000 meters and 400 meters wide.

It is a popular scenic spot for camping, as it is surrounded by green hills. There are four islands in the center of the Long Lake, which, in the right season, are covered in wild flowers. Long Lake is also home to a great variety of water birds. The surrounding hills are great for hiking and one can take a bamboo raft onto the lake.

Long Lake it especially breathtaking during sunset, when the lake is painted by a golden glow. Morning dew also makes for incredible vistas.
