The lake is located just southeast of Lijiang and the Yangtze River makes its way south near it. There are no official and approved scenic spots and no recommendations in travel guide books. The area just waits there for exploration, surrounded only by tiny villages. Wonderful locale for those looking for a little 'roughing it' exploration on their own.
